To celebrate my bday yesterday, me and my wife headed to JB (Johor Bahru) for a food fiesta and a movie. For obvious reasons I tend to help the Malaysian economy frequently by spending my good money there.

We were at City Square most of the time and had pizzas at Lavazza together with fish & chips (not pictured here). After which we ended up catching Madagascar2, which was pleasantly good. More on that in another post.

Next - Ramlee burgers. We had to get those for dinner at home. I got a total of 3 burgers, 2 chicken and 1 beef special. For RM2.50, it’s certainly worthwhile, compared to the ripped-off prices in SG that costs almost 2.3 times more. There’s a lane behind City Square which will be filled with food carts.

It opens at 4pm, and we were the first customers for the burger cart. Hats off to the dude selling them, as the price remained the same after all these years:

I got lucky. I managed to bring in the burgers into SG without any problems. So much for JB. After coming back home, we went to our nearest Swensens restaurant for ice-cream. We had a bday firehouse (compliments from Swensens ) , banana split and fries. Yellowish pics due to restaurant lighting:

Once we were done, we ended up getting 2 ice-cream cones on our way out! The classic vanilla had a little weird taste (too vanilla with semi-bitter pistachios), but the choco pops was all good.

Overall it was an excellent food fiesta and today is digestion day for me
