There’s this road that bends right around my neighborhood, Sin Ming Avenue. Apparently this area was said to be a cemetery in the olden times. Coincidentally I’ve seen a lot of accidents and near-misses on that stretch of road. I’ve seen a Mercedes mount the footpath (almost missing the tree) and a car doing a 180 degree skid and hitting the center divider.

On that stretch of road, there’s a T-junction that extends to Sin Ming Walk. I’ve seen a lorry bashing up the rear of a car and also a car hitting a bike with pillion on it at night, with a victim cursing and swearing at the driver.

Today at about 1pm, yet a similar accident has occurred right on that junction:

It looks like the taxi was not able to react on the on-coming biker. Despite having bad experiences with taxi drivers on the roads, I would reserve my further comments. I hope all/any casualties are safe. Now.. I wonder if this stretch of road is haunted…

As usual, I went on my usual JB trip yesterday and managed to catch Transporter 3 movie there. This movie is to be released on 1st Jan here in Singapore, but apparently it’s already released in Malaysia. I was pretty excited about this show, as I enjoyed the first 2 installments.

I came out from the theatre, feeling very disappointed. First of all, this movie isn’t as action packed as it seems. There were a few “whoa” moments, but that’s about it. The story telling seemed to be abit broken apart at first, but it came fine after about 30mins into the movie. To top is off, the lead actress in the movie was personally an eye sore. I have not seen any on-screen actress with this much freckles before!

Jason Statham however was cool as usual, and he did most of the stripping instead of the girl! :D I felt that the story was trying hard to make good chemistry between the actors. Oh.. how I miss the BMW in the first movie (The Audi was used again here). Anyways, if you’re an action junkie expecting alot from this movie, I suggest give this a pass. Only watch if you have spare time or got if off to**ents :P

Here it is, yet another installment of the Need for Speed series. I’ve lost count of which installment it is. I’ve been following the very first one on my 486 computer back in the old days. Anyways, the new Undercover installment has been released in US and Europe on the 18th and 21th Nov respectively.

I’ve yet to check if it’s available in SG. There seem to be more positive reviews on this game compared to the previous ones like ProStreet and Carbon. Besides, there seem to be a lot of cop action, which reminds me of the good’ol Hot Pursuit, which happens to be the 3rd installment.

This is the first video game to feature the new 2009 Nissan 370Z. MaggieQ stars in this game as a federal agent. Check out the flashy official site here. Also, there’s lots of videos to catch, especially “Takedown”, and innovative film for NFSUC. The first episode is out! Hmm.. now should I hoot an Xbox360 for this?

Calling all car lovers. Here’s a latest writeup on the Audi TTS Roadster 2.0 Quattro by Car Reviews. Coincidentally, I happened to see baby being compared side by side with a BMW Z4 earlier on Discovery Turbo, so it’s pretty fresh in my head.

“Everything about the car feels just right, from its turn in response to its steering weighting. Its brakes are truly powerful and confidence inspiring, yet friendly to use at low speeds.

Its automatic roof is one touch affair and goes up and down in 12 seconds flat. More impressively, it operates smoothly and noiselessly.”

Check out this mini-review here.
