Welcome to my
gadget section, where I share all the
gadgets/tech equipment that I have. I'm
not a gadget freak, but I consider
myself a little into the "freak-zone".
Let me start with my humble workstation:
Workstation
>
Core2Duo E6750 2.66Ghz
>
Gigabyte P35-DS3P
>
GeForce 8800GTS 320MB (Leadtek)
>
4GB 800Mhz DDR2 (Patriot/Kingston)
>
WD Raptor 150GB + Seagate 7200.8 250GB
SATA + Seagate 500GB USB
>
Dell 20" LCD + CMV 15" LCD
>
BenQ 1670
>
D-link DGL-4300 gaming router
>
MS Wireless Laser mouse 8000
>
NZXT Zero Full tower Aluminum
>
WinVista Ultimate

I used to me more aggressive on my PC
upgrades but I toned down due to other
commitments and decided to move my
interests into home theatre and movies.
I always have more movies that I can
watch!
Room Theatre
I have an old review of my bedroom
theatre under the classics section. Be
sure to check that out. Anyways, my
theatre is currently confined to a room
and I have the following main equipment:
> Philips
50PF7320G 50" plasma
>
Pioneer VSX-516 7.1 Receiver
>
Philips BDP7200 BluRay Player
>
Panasonic SB FS-803A 5pc satellite
speakers
>
Media Center PC (described above)
My main source of video is from my media
center PC, which is connected to my
plasma screen through VGA (I felt this
gave the best quality for standard
definition). I've got a RF remote to go
along with the media center too.
The Blu player is obviously
connected through HDMI. I do have a
cable box through CVBS, which gives
decent quality.
I also
occasionally game on my system, through
my PC. All thanks to my BT wireless MS
8000 mouse. I'm quite particular about
the graphics, especially anti-aliasing.
I can't stand "jaggies". PC graphics
provide the best so far. I do intend to
move into console gaming in the near
future, so as to reduce PC upgrades.
Do check out my
Bedroom theatre
review under the classics
section for more pictures!
Handhelds / Phones
My first phone was the Siemens C35. I
was attracted to it mainly because of
it's low price and relatively small
form-factor at that time. I eve got a
serial cable to customize my screen on
it. After about a year, I traded-in for
a Siemens ME45. This is one rugged
phone, which I still have until now.
Basically a more feature-packed phone
than C35. I remember using it with my
early PDAs to connect to ICQ via GPRS
and infrared.
My last mobile
phone which I ever used was a pretty big
mistake. I bought the SE T610 close to
during launch and it was one of the
first feature-packed phone in terms of
color screen and camera. It was pretty
buggy and I traded in for the O2
XphoneII shortly.
Below are the rest of the devices I've
owned:

All of the devices
were good, except for the
O2 Atom and HP
RW6828. They were made by Quanta China
and of poorer quality. Currently I'm
carrying the Diamond as my primary phone
and the HTC P3300 as spare.
Other devices
Basically, 2 other more used devices
would be the Logitech VX Nano mouse and
the iPod Nano Gen3 4GB. The VX Nano
mouse is an excellent product, and I
would recommend it to anyone who is
looking for a wireless laptop mouse. It
is well built, well sized and the tiny
receiver feels very sturdy when
connected

The iPod is used
only for jogging. I am impressed on how
Apple handles its on-screen animation on
their devices. However, I just hate how
it manages your music through iTunes,
relying on heavily on ID3 tags.
